A heartbreaking incident in Brazil has once again underscored the deadly risks of viral internet challenges. Fourteen-year-old Davi Nunes Moreira died after injecting a bizarre homemade mixture—reportedly containing crushed butterfly wings—into his leg, possibly in connection with an online trend.
While the exact motive is unclear, investigators suspect he was imitating a stunt seen on social media. The case has shocked parents and authorities alike.
At first, Davi claimed his injury was from playing outside. But as his condition worsened—marked by vomiting, pain, and difficulty walking—he finally confessed to doctors what really happened. Despite intensive care, Davi died a week later. Medical experts believe an embolism, severe infection, or allergic reaction could have caused his death.
