AI Shows Lifelike Image of Jesus Based on Shroud of Turin

AI recreates Jesusโ€™ face from the Shroud of Turin, sparking debates over historical accuracy and religious authenticity.

Artificial intelligence has been employed to generate a realistic depiction of Jesus Christ, utilizing the Shroud of Turinโ€”a linen cloth many believe to be his burial garment. The AI-generated image portrays a man with shoulder-length hair, a beard, and facial wounds, aligning with traditional representations of Jesus.

The Shroud of Turin is a 14-foot linen cloth that bears the faint image of a man, which some believe to be Jesus. Preserved in the Cathedral of San Giovanni Battista in Turin, Italy, since 1578, the shroud has been a subject of religious veneration and scientific scrutiny. Recent studies using advanced X-ray technology suggest the cloth may date back approximately 2,000 years, aligning with the era of Jesus Christ.
