Emotional Fox News Host Stops Live Show…

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump expressed firm optimism that the United States and Iran could conclude an agreement within days to extend a fragile cessation of hostilities and reopen the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz, projecting confidence in ongoing negotiations even as regional combat and deep-seated diplomatic disputes threatened to collapse the channel. In a telephone interview with ABC News chief Washington correspondent Jonathan Karl, Trump asserted that bilateral discussions with Tehran were advancing steadily toward a resolution despite what he described as a temporary operational friction point involving escalating clashes in Lebanon. The president predicted that a bilateral accord—pairing a formal extension of the ceasefire with the restoration of commercial maritime transit through the narrow waterway—could be finalized “over the next week.”

“Looking good, looking good,” Trump said of the diplomatic trajectory. However, the president acknowledged that terms had not yet been formally initialed, noting that he had withheld final signature because negotiators still needed to resolve “a few more points.”
