According to fact-checking reports, the footage circulating online was taken out of context and paired with misleading captions suggesting that a young defendant had just received a centuries-long prison sentence. Investigators who traced the footage found that the courtroom appearance shown in the video was connected to an earlier criminal proceeding and was not a sentencing hearing in which a 452-year punishment was imposed.
