Footage showed water gushing from the damaged slide as passengers shouted, *\u201cStop the slide. Stop the slide.\u201d* A jagged hole was later seen in the 46ft Frightening Bolt Waterslide, known for its trapdoor launch and 360\u00b0 loop. Despite some onlookers claiming someone \u201cfell out,\u201d Royal Caribbean confirmed no one went through the hole. Instead, the male rider suffered \u201cskin laceration injuries from his legs to his hands.\u201d He is now in stable condition.<\/p>\n
A Royal Caribbean spokesperson said, *\u201cOur team provided medical care to an adult guest when acrylic glass broke off a water slide as the guest passed through.\u201d* The slide and surrounding deck area were closed pending investigation.<\/p>\n
The *Icon of the Seas* launched last year with space for 7,600 guests, a crew of 2,350, and the largest waterpark at sea, featuring six record-breaking slides.<\/p>\n
