Ben Affleck (2021\u20142024)<\/p>\n
Bennifer surprised fans across the world when they rekindled their romance in April 2021, nearly two decades after calling off their initial engagement. Things quickly got serious, with Affleck and Lopez getting engaged for a second time the following year.
\n\u201cDid you ever imagine your biggest dream could come true?\u201d Lopez asked in a special edition of her fan newsletter, On the JLo. \u201cSaturday night while at my favorite place on earth (in the bubble bath), my beautiful love got on one knee and proposed. I was taken totally off guard and just looked in his eyes smiling and crying at the same time trying hard to get my head around the fact that after 20 years this was happening all over again, I was quite literally speechless and he said, \u2018is that a yes?\u2019 I said YES of course that\u2019s a YES.\u201d<\/p>\n
The two officially tied the knot in a surprise Las Vegas ceremony in July 2022. They celebrated the nuptials with a second, more extravagant wedding in Georgia the following month.<\/p>\n
At the tail end of that year, Lopez announced the forthcoming release of This Is Me \u2026 Now, which was heavily inspired by her renewed romance with Affleck. \u201cWhen he came back into my life, again the same thing happened, where I felt so inspired and so overtaken with emotion that it was just pouring out of me,\u201d she told Zane Lowe in an interview for Apple Music. \u201cWhen I feel good, I write music. And I wrote music, and I got in the studio in I think May, and by August when we got married, it was done.\u201d<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, their second chance quickly soured into a second break-up. In August 2024, Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck, citing April 26, 2024 as the date of separation. Alex Rodriguez (2017\u20142021)<\/p>\n
a 2019 interview with Sports Illustrated, Lopez reflected on meeting MLB player Alex Rodriguez for the first time at a 2005 Yankees game in New York City: \u201cWe shook hands, and it was this weird electricity for, like, three seconds \u2026 Three to five seconds of looking at somebody right in their eyes, and getting stuck.\u201d<\/p>\n
But it would be over 10 years before the two eventually reconnected and started dating. \u201cI was having lunch somewhere and I saw him as he passed by. Afterwards, I went outside, and for some reason I felt like tapping him on the shoulder,\u201d Lopez recalled in 2017, during a guest appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. \u201cHe texted me, said, \u2018Let\u2019s go out to dinner,\u2019 and I said, \u2018Okay.\u2019 We had a nice dinner.\u201d<\/p>\n
Throughout their yearslong romance, J.Lo and A-Rod made multiple high-profile appearances together at events like the Met Gala, the Golden Globes, the Oscars, and the Grammys. Rodriguez also accompanied Lopez to her performance at Joe Biden\u2019s presidential inauguration in January 2021.<\/p>\n
They announced their engagement in 2019, but plans for their wedding were postponed due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Then, in April 2021, the couple announced their split. \u201cWe have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so,\u201d they said in a joint statement at the time. \u201cWe will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects.
